Scott Horton kindly hosted me on his radio show for a discussion of my recent article in Newsweek, “Beyond Torture”, which examines contemporary US interrogation policy. We talked for about twenty minutes about the new anti-torture bill that’s now working its way through Congress, about the value of information gleaned through brutal treatment of captives, and if torture should be used at all even if it does “work”.
